This lunch and learning session will feature a panel of experts that provide community-based treatment for veterans. These professionals act as the “bridge” between a structured military environment and the civilian landscape. They offer insight based on their own lived experience, looking through the special lens of the veteran. Our experts in the field will lead a conversation about crisis prevention, behavioral health access, medical continuity and community resources that are particularly focused on the unique special needs of veterans throughout their life. Funds raised through this event will benefit our Client Emergency Fund, which directly helps clients facing seemingly insurmountable crises—those who are often on the cusp of homelessness. Last year alone, our Client Emergency Fund was able to help 152 individuals and families with rental assistance, hotel relief, sober housing, food insecurities, documentation needed for employment or housing, car repairs and more.
